ASSOCIATION FOR WOMEN IN COMMUNICATIONS
SELECTS ASCENT MANAGEMENT FOR FULL SERVICE MANAGEMENT

ALEXANDRIA, VA– The Association for Women in Communications (AWC) has selected ASCENT Management, LLC, an association management company, to provide full-service management for the organization.

Founded in 1909, AWC is a professional membership organization that champions the advancement of women across all communications disciplines. This cross discipline service makes AWC a unique professional resource and network. Disciplines represented within AWC include: print and broadcast journalism, television and radio production, film, advertising, public relations, marketing, graphic design, multi-media design, and photography.

AWC will hold its 2005 annual conference on Oct. 20-22 in Lubbock, Texas. The conference features dynamite speakers and educational sessions as well as career-building networking events with AWC professionals from across the country. The conference concludes with the Clarion/Matrix Dinner where the coveted Clarion Award is presented to the individual who is deemed the best in the communications industry.
